Cornerstone is a multi-year strategic initiative to transform the administrative and student information systems and processes for Rutgers University.
Scarlet Journey/Common App
The project team is completing system enhancements to the Salesforce constituent relationship management (CRM) platform for the August launch of the academic year (AY) 2024-2025 application. Updates include configuring the application to align with Common App and integrating undergraduate transfer students from the School of Health Professions into the current application and process.
The team also has completed several critical items required to meet the August launch of the Common App for AY 2024-2025 for first-year, full-time undergraduate students. The Common App project team completed thorough user acceptance testing to ensure proper implementation of requirements and successful integration with Salesforce CRM. Customized messages also have been enabled to improve communication with Common App users.
The project team is near completion of the business process reviews (BPRs) for systems and technical requirements for all modules associated with the December 2024 Phase 1 launch. Initial system requirements will be finalized by the end of August. Thank you to all participants for your valuable contribution during these sessions and your continued support for this key initiative.
Functional BPR sessions began in mid-July. These BPRs will dive into functional and operational business processes that supplement system functionality. Subject matter experts will participate in these sessions, including central administration units (Human Resources, Finance and Administration, etc.) and Chancellor-led units (CLUs). Configuration and prototyping will begin in parallel.
The development of the change management strategy is underway, including the formation of a change agent network to drive awareness and adoption of the project.
The Chart of Accounts Phase 2 (CoA) project team is collecting department hierarchies from the CLUs and will collaborate with the HR/Payroll Transformation team since the hierarchies will be leveraged for both projects.
