STUDENT EXPERIENCE IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVE (SEII)

Student Experience Improvement Initiative Prepares for Business Process Review — The SEII project is advancing toward the start of a business process review (BPR) for the university’s Student Information System (SIS). The review will help the project team understand current business and system processes, design future-state processes, and prepare for implementation of Oracle Student Management, which is a technology solution that aids university administrators with setting up, tracking, and managing academic information. SCARLET JOURNEY

Taking Stock: Counting Accomplishments — With a busy first half of 2024 in the rear-view mirror, the Scarlet Journey project team is reflecting on its list of recent accomplishments. After helping the university to transition to the Common Application in August 2023, which yielded a record-breaking 220,000 undergraduate application, the team has continued to make important enhancements to expand the way Rutgers uses the Common App, including a recently implemented feature allowing transfer students to submit a Self-Reported Academic Record. Read the full story here.

Next Phase of Work Ramping up  In preparation for future-state business process review (BPR), the HR/P Transformation project team is working on prerequisite workflow requirements that are critical to the development of the systems supporting Human Resources and Payroll. The pre-BPR work is designed to help ensure that the university’s HR and payroll systems successfully transition to Oracle Human Capital Management. Concurrent with this work, the team continues with system testing. More details are coming. In the meantime, check out the initiative’s website.
