TRAVEL AND EXPENSE

NOTICE: New System Goes Live on Monday, July 1 — Concur Travel and Expense, Rutgers’ new, mobile-friendly travel and expense management system, launches July 1. The new system boasts first-time features: streamlined processes for per-diem; simplified personal car mileage reimbursements and cash advance requests; improved credit card management; and a built-in request for pre-trip approval. Last Step Made Easy: Rutgers Adds Final High School Transcripts to Common App  For high school seniors headed to Rutgers in the Fall, submission of their final transcripts—the last step in the application process—has just been made easier. As part of the university’s transition to the Common App, admitted students’ final high school transcripts can be submitted directly through the application portal. The university anticipates receiving tens of thousands of final transcripts by the end of June. Read the full story here.

CHART OF ACCOUNTS (COA) PHASE 2

COA2 Team Sets July 17 as Target Date for Project Closings  Having successfully passed a series of necessary milestones, including preparation for closing Fund Type (FT) 100 projects in coordination with University Procurement Services, the Chart of Accounts (COA2) initiative project team has set its sights on the fiscal year-end close for accounts payable on July 17 as the target to begin all project closings. HUMAN RESOURCES/PAYROLL TRANSFORMATION

HR/P Transformation Changes to Ensure Project Success  From running test transactions during three rounds of systems integration testing and reconciling payroll rosters, to refining the business process review process, the HR/P Transformation project team is taking action to ensure that the university’s HR and payroll systems successfully transition to Oracle Human Capital Management by the January 2, 2025, launch date. Read the full story here.  

STUDENT EXPERIENCE IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVE (SEII)

Hey, SIS, We’re Getting Ready for the BPR — The SEII will begin its Student Information System (SIS) Business Process Review (BPR) later this year to understand current business and system processes, design future-state processes, and prepare for implementation of Oracle Student Management. This module includes tools to help improve work in academics, advising, financials, and other areas. More details are coming. In the meantime, check out the initiative’s website.
