Simpler Navigation to Online Go-To Reports

Dear Rutgers Colleagues,


We are excited to announce the launch of an online go-to reports guide. In fewer than three clicks, you can open the parameters page of a recommended report to easily select your criteria. The online guide includes links to commonly used reports and saved queries, clearer descriptions, and links to job aids for nearly all recommended reports.


The go-to reports guide is available on the Controller’s website, under Finance Reports, and in the Oracle Tools/Reports and Analytics/Shared Folders/Custom folder.

In November, we introduced the go-to reports guide to make it easier for you to find the reports you need to perform key business functions. Since then, we worked with the Enhanced Reporting Group – a team of research administrators, business managers, faculty and administrative staff from across the University – to address your feedback on navigating reports and the tools needed to run them.


We also refreshed the RU Saved Queries folder to make it easier for you to navigate to the resources you need. Some queries have been regrouped, and renamed or renumbered in a more consistent and logical order. For example, the GL and Projects folder queries have been moved into two new distinct folders.


We hope these solutions help you run reports more efficiently.
