Phase 1: Banner-to-PeopleSoft Migration

The human resources and payroll system integrates employee records from Banner into the existing PeopleSoft system. Unifying two parallel systems and processes for business services and creating a single payroll system is a significant step toward unifying our faculty and staff, and creating a more consistent employee experience.

Highlights and Features

  • Employee Self Service is accessible through the myRutgers portal
  • RBHS units will use new forms for HR Transactions: Staff Personnel Transaction Form (SPTF), Faculty Transaction Form (FTF), and Leave of Absence Transaction From (LTF)
  • Commitment accounting will be performed in alignment with the new chart of accounts
  • New and improved absence reporting will be available

How to Access Employee Self Service (ESS)

  • Log in to the myRutgers portal ( to update and verify personal information.
  • Enter your NetID and password to log in.
  • Click the Cornerstone tab.
  • Scroll down to Human Resources and Payroll to find Employee Self Service.
