The Combined Human Resources and Payroll System Is Online!

The human resources and payroll system integrates employee records from Banner into the existing PeopleSoft system. Unifying two parallel systems and processes for business services and creating a single payroll system is a significant step toward unifying our faculty and staff and toward creating a more consistent employee experience.

Highlights and Features

  • Employee Self Service is accessible through the myRutgers portal
  • RBHS units will use new forms for HR Transactions: Staff Personnel Transaction Form (SPTF), Faculty Transaction Form (FTF), and Leave of Absence Transaction From (LTF)
  • Commitment accounting will be performed in alignment with the new chart of accounts
  • New and improved absence reporting will be available

How to Access Employee Self Service (ESS)

  • Log in to the myRutgers portal ( to update and verify personal information.
  • Enter your NetID and password to log in.

  • Click the Cornerstone tab.
  • Scroll down to Human Resources and Payroll to find Employee Self Service.

  • Name
  • Address
  • Contact information, including email address
  • W-2 and W-4
  • Emergency contact information
  • Direct deposit bank information
  • Ethnicity
